Eternal Excellency College

On behalf of the management, staff, and students of Eternal Excellency College (ETEC), it is with great joy I welcome you to our school and wonderful community. The school was founded in 2016 by Prof. R. O. Salawu & Dr (Mrs) M. K. Salawu. The school is situated in a serene environment of Plot 6-8 Seweje layout, Yawiri area, Akobo Oju-Irin, Ibadan, Oyo state Nigeria.

Our Value: Our top goal is to create a welcoming, challenging, conducive, and ambitious learning environment that is safe, secure, and stimulating. Our goal is to establish a school climate in which parents and students feel comfortable, connected, and confident in us. Each of our pupils is encouraged to realize their own potential and fulfill their dreams by their well-known Teachers. The development of healthy connections with our parents plays a crucial role in the home-school dynamics, centered upon meeting the requirements of each individual student.

Our Educators: Our educators are incredibly committed to their work and prioritize each student in all that they do. Our staff is incredibly committed to giving our children the greatest education possible—both inside and outside the classroom—so they can succeed in school and in the future. Our students always secure admission to various universities, the same year they graduated from our school.

Our Motto: The motto of the school is “Character and Excellence”

Please help us to support and guide your child’s education by making sure that he or she:

  • attends school every day and is prepared for the learning experience;
  • finishes all teacher-assigned homework;
  • reads every day to foster a love of reading and to improve literacy skills;
  • shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his or her school life;
  • notifies you if he or she needs extra help in any subject or area;
  • knows that you expect them to succeed in school and continue to college or university

Accreditation: The school is government-approved and an accredited centre for WAEC, and NECO SSCE Examinations. The junior classes are also doing well in NECO BECE as well as Oyo State BECE JSCE. The school has well-equipped science laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science which accommodate 60 students for practical purposes at a time.

Our Sports and Club Activities: We have a basketball court and Table Tennis for our sporting activities. Our male and female relay teams have been performing excellently. We organize excursions each term to enable learners to admire the rich heritage in our society. Our club activities have been extended to accommodate entrepreneurial skills, elocution, and lots more.

Arts: Our Arts Activities entail Visual Arts, Drama Arts, and Literary Society. We provide our students with opportunities to exhibit their drawings, painting, sculpture, and other visual art work. They participate in acting workshops, rehearsals, and performances of plays and skits, thereby fostering their creativity and self-expression. Our students also engage in writing workshops, poetry readings, and literary events to encourage a love for literature and creative writing.

Our Mentorship Programmes: This entails Career Mentorship which allows us to invite professionals from various fields to mentor students, offering insights into career paths, internships, and job opportunities. We interact with achievers in different fields continuously to sensitize and motivate our students. We are also building our Alumni database to connect current students with alumni who can serve as mentors, sharing experiences and offering advice on life after school.  Our students are encouraged to join clubs focused on entrepreneurship to learn about business concepts, innovation, and leadership.

Musical Skills: We recognize the roles of music in boosting creativity, improving memory and concentration, and in making learning enjoyable for students. Our students participate actively in learning music theory, vocal training, and instrumental lessons. The overall goal here is to develop their music skills holistically so they can perform excellently at school events, competitions, and other relevant occasions.

Technological Skills: As part of our efforts to make our students relevant in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, we now introduce our students to the basics of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Technology, and lots more. ETEC is committed to giving your child the learning opportunities and experiences in the best learning and service environment. Our goal is to be one of the foremost International Secondary Schools in Nigeria, and let the child you love join “The Trailblazers” of Eternal Excellence College, Akobo Oju- Irin, Ibadan.
